League News

Big Unit no-hits Hillbillies! It was only the second no-hitter in league history and the first complete game no hitter ever. Randy Johnson completely dominated the Hillbillies, collecting 17 strikeouts and walking only two. The first league no hitter was back in 1998, when Juan Guzman and Mel Rojas of New York combined to shut down the Columbia Crusaders. Johnson improved to 5-2 on the season and lowered his ERA to 3.49. Check out the boxscore here.

The Association of Fantasy Baseball Leagues recently had a contest among fantasy baseball sites. The DMBL came in 7th out of 18 teams. Particularly poor amongst our scores was the "owner participation" category. Check out the complete ratings here.

The Hoboken Cutters, in the midst of a 10-game losing streak, have been on both ends of the roller coaster: The team reeled off a five-game win streak, April 13-17, but followed that run up with a five-game losing streak, April 18-22. The Cutters have had four losing streaks of at least three games, and three streaks of winning three or more games. Hoboken's current losing streak is the longest in the league this year; they've tied Vatican City's 10-game winning streak, March 25-April 5, for longest run of the year.
